The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) has published a new regulatory document, Regulatory Guide G-306, Severe Accident Management Programs for Nuclear Reactors.
The purpose of this Regulatory Guide is to help a person who applies for, or holds,a licence to construct or operate a nuclear reactor to develop and implement a “severe accident management (SAM) program,” in accordance with purpose of the Nuclear Safety and Control Act (NSCA).
