A ground-level look at nuclear realities in Ukraine and a visit to Poland

My recent trip to Ukraine and Poland is among the most significant on the-ground business that I have led during my time as CNSC President. My journey was filled with impactful moments.

The heart of my trip lay in face-to-face conversations with Oleh Korikov, colleagues from the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate (SNIRU), veterans from the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station, industry, and government representatives. These candid exchanges held a depth that goes beyond words – something truly irreplaceable in our digital age. It's one thing to talk about safety standards and security, but being present, seeing the efforts firsthand, and understanding the need for resilience in such uncertain times – it hits you differently.
